Global Environmental Databases: Present Situation; Future Directions (Volume 2)
Edited by R. Tateishi and D. Hastings | 154 pages | 9.6" x 6.9" | 2002
This book is a sequel to the book, "Global Environmental Databases" which was published in July 2000 as one of the activities by the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS Working Group IV/6 (1996-2000)). The following Working Group IV/8 (2000-2004) on "Global Environmental Databases" has taken over this activity by the same cochairmen, Tateishi and Hastings. As the same as the first book, this book consists of two parts - Thematic domains and Cross-cutting issues. The Part I, Thematic domains, deals with specific types of global environmental data, such as climatic data, livestock data, land use data, and biophysical data. The Part 2, Cross-cutting issues, deals with common subjects among various environmental parameters, such as remote sensing data, spatial data infrastructures, administrative and cultural challenges and policy aspects.
